Upcoming Disney Feature Film graduation pact going to bring back the style of the 80s. The film is about best friends Mandy and Ben, two high school students who would rather focus on something other than prom, but fate has other plans for them. Director Anya Adams this film looks colorful, fresh and fun with a touch of the era in the romantic comedy genre. In the new short, the cast and crew talk about adding nostalgia and Easter eggs to modern history.

Actor Peyton Elizabeth Lee says the film “combines a very fresh take on love with a very classic ’80s movie feel really well.” Adds Blake Draper”It’s kind of a mixture of old and new.” Lee further delves into the film’s setting, revealing, “We portray these very modern high schoolers having a very modern high school experience, but with these little odes to classic ’80s rom-com.”

Executive producer Julie Bowen addresses old world charm and 80s rom-com nostalgia and shows that the film includes an ode to films such as ghost hunter which “starts the movie, then there’s Robert Palmer’s prom proposal” and more. Other features that inspired the film: “Club Breakfast, cutie in pinkAnd Back to the Future”, all of which will have a place in the storylines and unfolding plots. While classics are one thing, the film will also feature some classic songs from that era, as Adams reveals:

I love 80s music so we tried very hard to pick up strong musical references to the 80s, we want the youth watching the show to know about some of the new artists. We used songs like David Bowie’s Let’s Dance.

Actor Monique Green adds that the music “just takes you back to the past and memories of the moments you might have had.” As for graduation suits Bonnie Sutherlandthe costume designer said she took inspiration from that era as “everything was on point” which would make a spectacle for the film’s final act.
