Bo is afraid, Joaquin Phoenixmay return to star in a proposed western.
While Astaire may only be set to release his third feature film, the director has already established himself as something of a horror icon and has certainly established himself as a creative force with his chilling surreal films: Hereditary and 2019 midsommar. So it comes as a bit of a surprise that the author’s next project will take an unexpected direction if the film does indeed take the form of a western.

Bo. Astaire praised the actor and his creative sensibility, calling him “a ruthless explorer… if something feels fake or wrong, he can’t do it. It’s not even that he refuses to do something – his body will stop him.” ”, the statement is supported by a playful comment from Phoenix. Bo co-star Nathan Lane that the actor is “very tense”. Astaire went on to describe his time with Phoenix as “the best experience of my life” and also talked about how the actors he will be working with in the future will have great opportunities: “It also taught me how I I want to work in the future - the seriousness with which I expect the actor to approach any role.
Joaquin Phoenix has nothing but praise for the director
Speaking about his experience with the director, Phoenix said, “I knew I would never, ever be able to just ‘act’ in front of Ahri - that’s what I find repulsive and difficult. You couldn’t do this to Ari. He would feel it right away. It’s nice to know you’re working with someone like that.” Although the film was a tough test for the actor as it dealt with heavy topics like family trauma, he insists, “I like things that are sometimes hard to achieve.” Though he went on to claim that the duo took the time to laugh despite the film’s hefty subject matter, saying, “We certainly laughed a lot. What do they call it? The humor of the gallows. no other choice but to find something funny about it.”
