Stephen King’s underrated gem
While King is best known for Pennywise and This the franchise or the obsessive history of the Overlook Hotel in Shine, there is something deeply unsettling about the thought of “man’s best friend” turning his back on us. King, like all of his best work, touched our worst fears in our canine hearts and actually ripped that heart out mercilessly. The film version adds to this rawness of the story, which makes the direction of Teague, who has worked on other horror classics such as cat eye And Alligatoryou feel like you’re in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre movies about dogs.
You experience a strong sense of anxiety while watching a movie. This is thanks to Kujo himself, who wins you over with his sweet St. Bernard heart before the madness sets in and he bites into it like a disembodied bone. Cast member featuring Dee Wallace, Ed Lauter, Daniel Hugh KellyAnd Danny Pintauro also do a great job of throwing some very scary stakes into this horror story. While not as iconic or memorable as Shine, This, Carrieor Pet cemetery, CujoOne of the most underrated horror gems of the 80s.
