Balor uses Chaos Magic to banish Eredin and his soldiers to a dying dimension, dooming them to a painful life. In one of the final scenes of the series finale, we see Eredin walking through the desert world, hungry and desperate. Suddenly, Eredin finds a bone helmet buried in the red sands, which turns out to be the helmet of the leader of the Wild Hunt. So, Origin of blood serves as an origin story for a group of raiders, teasing the return of the villains.
In the books and games, the Wild Hunt is made up of elves from another dimension. However, how Origin of blood shows us the Netflix adaptation will take a new direction in having villains drive elves off the continent. Maybe Eredin will contact the elves living in the red wasteland, promising his service. Perhaps he will find the remains of an ancient civilization and use its technology to return to the continent. Anyway, season 3 Witcher will probably use loose threads Origin of blood take Geralt of Rivia (Henry Cavill) and Ciri in exciting new adventures.
