Perhaps one of the most high-profile moments in the politics of the United States was the Watergate scandal. It has been the subject of countless books, documentaries and films over the years. Now HBO comes into play. Today they released the first teaser trailer for White House plumbersan upcoming limited series about the scandal.

While past films and series about the scandal usually reflect the perspective of the people who discovered the scandal, White House plumbers takes a different approach. Based on public records and novel Honesty on Egil Krog as well as Matthew KrogThe series is about men who find themselves at the center of a scandal. White House plumbers follows E. Howard Hunt’s The Watergate Masterminds (Woody Harrelson) and G. Gordon Liddy (Justin Theroux) as their efforts to keep President Nixon in office eventually lead to his resignation.

Although brief, the teaser released by HBO highlights two of the show’s most important features: Watergate’s compelling story and a cast full of talent. The teaser starts off like it’s a typical robbery story, with cool music to accompany the break-in. But then everything falls apart, and we are teased with all the political drama and intrigue that went on behind the scenes of the scandal. He then wastes no time listing all the talents in the show. As the teaser boasts, Harrelson and Ter were joined Lena Headey, Donal Gleason, Judy Greer, Hayk Baringolts, Kiernan Shipkaas well as Kathleen Turner.

Along with all the artists mentioned in the teaser, White House plumbers will also be a star Toby Huss, Kim Coates, Yul Vasquez, David Kramholtz, F. Murray Abraham, John Carroll Lynch and more. The series is written and produced Alex Gregory as well as Peter Huyck. Both writers have previously written for series such as vice president, fraseras well as The Late Show with David Letterman. Five-episode limited series leads David Mandel. He is known for directing episodes of such popular TV series as Curb Enthusiasm as well as vice president.
