Fans have been eagerly awaiting news and updates for HBO Max. Our flag means death. Now it looks like the series is getting ready to sail again. TV series star Samba Shutte confirmed that the long-awaited return of the historical pirate comedy has confirmed the official start of filming for the series’ second season.

Schutte, who plays “Revenge” chef Roach, took to his personal Twitter page to share a picture of his chair with his character’s name written on the back. The black-and-white image was accompanied by a caption confirming the start of filming: “Day 1, hello.” This happened a month after the creator of the series and screenwriter David Jenkins released a teaser for the upcoming second season when he took to his Twitter page to post an image of the script for the season two premiere episode. As with this news, the image provided by Schutte doesn’t say much about what fans can expect from the series’ return, but it’s good to know filming is officially under way.

While HBO Max has yet to confirm that all of the supporting cast will return, we already know that Guz Khanwho previously played one of Blackbeard’s teammates, Ivan, would not return to that role for the second season.
