‘Close Encounter’

“Close Encounters” is one of SNL’s most famous and beloved sketches to date. The story is not necessarily about Halloween, but can be grouped with Halloween sketches for content. In the sketch, 2 NSA agents interview 3 people who survived the first confirmed case of alien abduction.

2 of them describe a soothing, vibrant experience, while the other (performed by a wonderful Kate McKinnon) is a slightly different story. This sketch was so loved that they wrote several Close Encounters sketches and even wrote one for Aidy Bryantas well asThe last episode of McKinnon.

‘Headless horseman’

John Mulaney in this sketch is the legendary Ichabod Crane. Ichabod is walking through the misty forest when the Headless Horseman approaches and things get a little frisky. ‘House with the ghosts’

“Haunted House” parodies some of the intense ghost-hunting shows that spice up their investigation with creepy voices and night vision cameras that blur them. As the team enters the bedroom, they hear a noise in the car, which they believe is a gas ghost.

They repeat it over and over and try to figure out what it might be, while the host (and croupier) tries to change the subject. Sometimes bathroom humor can be funny!

“Girlish Halloween”

Girls’ Halloween is a pre-recorded sketch about several girls (Bryant, Cecily Strongas well as Vanessa Bayer) that come into town on Halloween.

The sketch jumps from the present, where they are getting ready to go out and have a great time, to the future, where they are drunk and yelling at each other in the middle of the street. This sketch works so well because the humor isn’t real at all!

“Eerie Song”

When Chance’s character appears, he explains that his death was a bit unusual. Without going into details, let’s just say that Chance’s death was a bit… shocking!
