Ever since he starred as the “King of Rock ‘n’ Roll” Elvis Presley in Elvis, Austin Butler was all over the news. Although, like any good actor, Butler had to earn his rightful place in fame through various supporting character roles, many of which went unnoticed.

Even as a minor actor, Butler got his name on shows like Zoe 101 as well as The Carrie Diaries, both teen dramas are still being re-watched. “Ned’s School Survival Guide Declassified” as Zippy Brewster

This nostalgic Nickelodeon sitcom ran for three seasons; it chronicles the life of Ned Bigby (Devon Werkheiser), Jennifer Moseley (Lindsey Shaw) and Simon Nelson-Cook (Daniel Curtis Lee). The show is known for its unique way of talking about high school issues through advice.

Austin Butler appears on the show in its second season as Zippy Brewster. He continues to play this character for 41 episodes. Unfortunately, Butler doesn’t get any lines for his role as Zippy Brewster, but his character is very similar to another student, James K. Polk.

Zoey 101 as James Garrett

Zoe 101 comedy-drama based on the teenage life of Zoe Brooks (Jamie Lynn Spears) and her friends Nicole Bristow (Alexa Nicholas), Quinn Pensky (Erin Sanders), Dana Cruz (Christine Herrera) and Lola Martinez (Victoria Justice) who attend Pacific Coast Academy. The academy is a boarding school with both girls and boys attending, creating a lot of drama, from romance to friendship.

Austin Butler plays James Garrett, Zoe’s boyfriend. James is also MichaelChristopher Massey) and Logan (Matthew Reese) the roommate. He only appears in ten episodes of the fourth season. His character was replaced by Chase (Sean Flynn) because Flynn decided to focus on his school work rather than his game.

Sharpay’s Bizarre Adventure - Peyton Leverett

Sharpei’s fairy tale adventure teen musical drama; the movie is a spin-off High School Music School. The film revolves around Sharpay Evans (Ashley Tisdale) and her new career moves to New York. She overcomes difficulties with changing her life as well as her work ethic.

Along the way, Sharpay meets Peyton Leverett (Austin Butler), an aspiring director; he promises to give her a studio apartment if she becomes the subject of his film. Butler does a great job as an inspiring filmmaker.

“Wizards of Waverly Place” as George

This Disney show, which aired from 2007 to 2012, is about a family of wizards living in New York City. The show is dedicated to the Russo family of wizards, which includes Alex Russo (Selena Gomez), Justin Russo (David Henry), Max Russo (Jake T. Austin), Teresa Russo (Maria Canals-Barrera) and Jerry Russo (David DeLuise). The family is busy hiding their magical powers while the kids are also busy with the school drama.

In 2010, in the third season of the series, Austin Butler appeared as George, with whom the main character Alex is in love. She finds out that George thinks she can be negative and uses her magic to turn her into a positive person. Thus, naming the series “Positive Alex”.

“Mixed at Birth” as James Wilkerson

This ABC Studio drama series aired in 2011 and centers on the premise of two children who are unfortunately swapped at birth. Later two girls, Bay Kennish (Vanessa Marano) and Daphne Vasquez (Cathy Leclerc), to meet with their families. During this process, all sorts of dramas unfold between the girls, their families and friends.

In the first season episode “A Dance Among the Daggers”, Austin Butler’s character is introduced as a friend of Bay’s brother Toby (Lucas Grabeel). Butler appears in a total of 14 episodes of this intense drama show.

The Carrie Diaries as Sebastian Kydd

This iconic spin-off Sex in the city about Carrie BradshawAnnaSophia Robb) in later school years. Carrie along with her friend Samantha Jones (Lindsey Gort), Jill “Mouse” Chen (Ellen Wong) and Maggie Landers (Kathy Findlay), focus primarily on love, sex, friendship and family.

Austin Butler plays Carrie’s dreamy boyfriend, Sebastian Kidd. They have a tense and tumultuous relationship throughout the show’s two seasons. They break up, get back together, and fight often as they learn to love for the first time. Butler appears in a total of 26 episodes of the series and is one of the main characters.

The main antagonist Charles Denton “Tex” Watson Jr. in the 2019 film is played by Austin Butler. Tex is an assassin who wants revenge on the two main characters, Rick and Cliff. This is one of Butler’s most significant roles prior to his role as Elvis.

Zeke and Luther as Rutger Murdoch

Zeke and Luther is a Disney sitcom about two teenage boys who want to become the best skateboarders in the world. Despite not being the best skateboards in the world, the two boys continue their fun and wacky adventures.

In the first season of the sitcom, during an episode called “Boy Adventure”, a character named Rutger Murdoch (Austin Butler). Butler portrays a TV risk-taker who both boys are very fond of. Unfortunately, it turned out that Rutger came to town to see Olivia (Juliet Holland-Rose), which leaves Zeke crushed.

“Jonas” as Stone Stevens

The infamous Jonas Brothers got their show on Disney in 2009. The show is about three brothers Nick Lucas (Nick Jonas), Joe Lucas (Joe Jonas) and Kevin Lucas (Kevin Jonas), through stupid misadventures. The brothers also try to live a normal life despite being famous singers.

In one of their episodes called “Back to the Beach”, a character named Stone Stevens is played by Austin Butler. Butler portrays Stevens, who appears in the series as a guy in love with one of the central characters, Maisie Misa (Nicole Gale Anderson).

Hannah Montana as Toby/Derek Hanson

Hanna Montana series about an ordinary girl named Miley Ray Stewart (Eng.Miley Cyrus), a secret pop star at night. The show focuses on Miley’s secret double life and the drama of keeping a secret from everyone she knows and loves. The only people who know are her closest family members.

Austin Butler appears twice in the infamous series as two different characters. His first appearance in Season 1 was as Toby in the episode “Ow! I interfered again! He also appears in Season 2 as Derek Hanson in an episode titled “My Best Friend’s Boyfriend”.
