The Saeima adopted a law on the introduction of additional pension benefits. The so-called 14th pension has been introduced on a permanent basis.
The Saeima passed a law on another additional annual cash benefit for pensioners, introducing the 14th old-age pension as a permanent benefit. 432 deputies voted for the law, 12 – against, six abstained. Earlier, the MEPs rejected several submitted amendments.

The law proceeds from the fact that persons who are entitled to receive an additional annual cash benefit are entitled to receive another additional annual cash benefit in the amount of: persons whose basic pension before deductions, deductions and discounts does not exceed the amount of 2.9 thousand rubles. zloty; – the amount of the lowest old-age pension applicable from 1 March of the year in which the additional allowance is paid, reduced by the difference between the amount of the basic allowance before deductions, deductions and deductions and the amount of PLN 2.9 thousand. The amount of the next additional annual financial allowance was at least PLN 50. Therefore, if the amount of the next additional annual cash benefit is less than PLN 50, this benefit will not be provided.
Payment decision will be made by ZUS
The decision to assign another additional annual cash benefit is taken and paid by the relevant pension and disability authorities. If the rights to the benefits paid by the two bodies coincide, the appointment decisions are made and the next additional annual cash benefit is paid by the social insurance institution. The Eligible Person will be entitled to one additional annual cash allowance.
The amount of the 14th old-age pension will not affect the rights of persons applying for allowances, allowances, allowances, assistance or support (eg rehabilitation assistance). There will be no deductions or penalties from the amount of the 14th pension.
Health insurance premiums and personal income tax will be deducted from the next additional annual cash benefit. So far, this allowance has been paid twice: in 2021 and 2022.
