Lukasz Kaczmarek at a key Champions League match. ZAKSA plays for everything

Must read

The volleyball players of Grupa Azoty ZAKSA Kedzierzyn-Kozle will play the return match against Halkbank Ankara in the Champions League on Wednesday afternoon (i.e. February 7).

The last three seasons have been their dominance in Europe. Now they have their backs against the wall again in terms of qualifying for the next stage of the Champions League. The situation is approximately the same with the volleyball players of Grupa Azoty ZAKSA Kedzierzyn-Kozle. “More or less” is due to the fact that, in addition to sporting tasks, the Polish runner-up will again have to face health problems.

Lukasz Kaczmarek before a key Champions League match

It is no secret that two key ZAKS players have not trained in recent days due to illness. Lukasz Kaczmarek and Bartosz Bednorc have finally left for Ankara and will be available to coach Adam Svacina.

– The most important thing will be how we start this match. And our health. As we know, many of us hardly trained after the match with Hulkbank. We will definitely do everything to return to Kedzierzyn-Kozle and reach the quarterfinals. This is our goal, this is our priority, and we do not look at what has happened in the last few days. Or how we felt. We are entering the field to fight and take Kedzierzyn-Kozle to the quarterfinals of the Champions League,” the forward of ZAKSA and the Polish national team admitted in front of the club’s camera.

Let us remind you that the bet in the match is reaching the quarterfinals of the Champions League. In the first match, ZAKSA won with a score of 3:2. The second-placed Poles need a win to advance. If they lose 1:3 or 0:3, they are eliminated from the competition. If the match ends in victory for the Turkish hosts after a tie-break, then the golden set is up to 15 points.
