Elon Musk has once again touched the bottom with his dirty tongue. A Twitter employee publicly asked the billionaire if he was fired. The head of the company scolded him, questioning his work, disability and motivation.

Elon Musk publicly insulted a Twitter employee after he asked if he was fired. The scandalous billionaire took a swipe at Halli Thorleifsson… a disabled worker who was recently named his country’s Person of the Year. Musk praised him in front of his 130 million followers.

Elon Musk insults disabled people - Halli Thorleifsson fired from Twitter

“Dear Elon Musk, Nine days ago I was cut off from my corporate computer along with about 200 other people. However, your HR manager cannot tell me if I’m working or not. You also don’t answer my emails. Maybe if enough the number of people retweeting this, will you answer me here?” he wrote, tagging Musk in a post by Halla Thorleifsson.

This started an exchange with Musk, who asked what Thorleifsson was really up to.

During the discussion, the billionaire also began to make derogatory comments about Thorleifsson. among other things questioned his disability (the man lives with muscular dysphoria, uses a wheelchair and has to take breaks from typing) or called him “useless”.

Musk also hinted that the employee “didn’t do any work in the last 4 months” and that he is rich and started an internet storm to get more money as part of his severance pay. “I feel sorry for him, he’s just the worst,” Musk also joked tastelessly (he later deleted the tweet). In the meantime, Thorleifsson should have received an email saying he was fired.

Interestingly, the entry in which Musk insults the man was marked on Twitter with additional context. Thorleifsson is not “independently rich,” as Musk puts it. The money he currently has came from the sale of his design company Ueno to Twitter in 2021. He has also publicly highlighted and explained how his disability affects his work.

Icelander Torleifsson was also the recipient of four independent Man of the Year awards last year from major national media outlets.

Elon Musk apologizes to Thorleifsson for stunt

After a huge storm that swept through Twitter, Elon Musk decided to change his tone. He was also scheduled to hold a videoconference with Thorleifsson. “It’s a long story. However, it’s better to talk than to communicate through tweets,” the billionaire cryptically summed up the meeting.

“I would like to apologize to Halley for misunderstanding his situation. This was based on false information provided to me. Other data was correct but should not be significant [w tej dyskusji]Musk wrote shortly after.

The billionaire also added that he suggested that Thorleifsson stay on Twitter and that he should “consider it.”
