December 26, i.e. Boxing Day, is the last public holiday this year to be subject to the ban on trading. However, this does not mean that we will not be able to shop today. Frogs will be open there, but not only.
Non-working days are a good opportunity to take a break from everyday duties. However, it is worth remembering that before a long weekend it is worth doing shopping. Those who forgot about the main items before Christmas will be able to buy them despite the trade ban, although it will not be easy.
Stores open on December 26th. Zhabka changes opening hours
Shopping in December must be planned very carefully, not only because of the need to prepare all the dishes for the festive table. In addition to non-commercial Sundays, shops are closed on December 25 and 26, and on Christmas Eve they can only be open until 14. All major supermarkets, as well as stores in malls, will also have shorter opening hours on New Year’s Eve. .
However, we would like to remind you that the Boxing Day trading ban does not apply everywhere. According to Polish law, there is a list of facilities that can work on public holidays. Thus, stores open on December 26th include:
-
canteens
-
pharmacies
-
gas stations
-
franchise stores (ie.
-
place of entertainment
-
convenience stores where customers are served by the owner or his close relatives
However, it is worth remembering that all of these stores may or may not be open on Boxing Day. The final decision on whether a given store will sell is made by its owner.
The same rule applies to Żabka stores. On December 26, they usually open around 13:00 and close around 20:00, but these are not the opening hours of all Żabka stores. The exact opening hours of this store can be found on its door. The exception is Nano Frogs, which work around the clock.
