A detailed report on the results of the automotive industry in Poland was published by AutomotiveSuppliers.pl. As we read, in 2022, the sold production of cars, trailers and semi-trailers for the first time exceeded PLN 200 billion and amounted to PLN 203.3 billion. Employment rate
The number of jobs in the automotive industry in 2022 remained virtually unchanged. According to the results of the first quarter, the average employment in factories for the production of cars, trailers and semi-trailers, as well as parts and accessories, employing more than 9 people, amounted to 196.8 thousand people. Export results
In 2022, the value of automotive industry exports from Poland amounted to more than 39.7 billion euros. It’s not just 21.56 percent. more than the previous year, but it’s also a new record. – In the first months of last year, especially in March and April, the export results were worse than in the corresponding period of 2021, the AutomotiveSuppliers.pl expert notes. “It was directly related to the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the interruption of supply chains and the shutdown of many factories in the European Union. However, from May until the end of last year, there was an unstoppable upward trend with the highest annual growth in August (+59%), October (+56.9%) and September (+52.2%). Interestingly, for the first time in many years, growth occurred in all 14 analyzed groups of automotive products, notes Rafal Orlowski.
Germany at the forefront of partners
Germany remains Poland’s most important export partner (35.5%). Exports to our western neighbor were 24.4% higher than last year. higher than in 2021. Parts and accessories
In 2022, the status quo was maintained – spare parts and accessories are still the most important export group. Last year, components were delivered to foreign markets, the value of which exceeded a record 14.29 billion euros. Compared to 2021, the growth was 18.7 percent. Parts and accessories accounted for 36.0 percent. total exports of the automotive sector from Poland. Compared to the previous year, the share of spare parts decreased by 0.9 p.p. Germany remains the largest partner (32.3% of the total, +21.6%).
